Our Curriculum

CCLC has a play based curriculum where the children are grouped according to age, and their developmental progress is encouraged individually. We provide a caring and nurturing environment where your child can learn and develop through age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate-activities.We strive to give each child the tools they need to navigate their BIG and SMALL feelings, have self-respect, respect for the people around them, and respect for their environment. We emphasize the basics that take us further in life!

We truly want Coastal Kids to leave this chapter of their lives knowing and showing kindness and being prepared to navigate their personal and educational futures.

Our Teachers

Our Curriculum

Director, Katrina Chanbona has led Coastal since 2003. She has over 30 years experience in chid care and is constantly keeping tabs on the newest trainings and courses to stay current. All of our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in early childhood education. They are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Our teachers work closely with families to ensure that each child's individual needs are met and that they receive the support and guidance they need to develop to their full potential.

Our Facilities

Our facilities are designed with children in mind and provide a safe and comfortable environment for learning and exploration. We have spacious classrooms that are equipped with age-appropriate materials and resources, as well as 4 outdoor play areas, including a large blacktop, and garden area where children can engage in physical activity and explore nature. Our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained to ensure that children have the best possible learning experience.

4 classrooms divided by age
Extra curricular activities are offered and include Soccer Shots, Peewee Martial Arts & Gymnastics
Garden area and outdoor classroom time
Kindergarten readiness with math and phonetics programs

Snacks and Lunch

We provide morning and afternoon snacks of fresh fruits and vegetables - no jars, pouches, or cans and entirely nut-free options. New foods are introduced quarterly and new fruit and vegetables are highlighted. Take spinach or dragon fruit, for instance, it takes time to develop a taste for new things!
